About.
I am a social entrepreneur, creator and advisor working where identity, institutions and public life meet.I run a social enterprise called Just Gold and chair Aurum Foundation. I write and make videos about autism, migration, queer life and fairness.
About three minutes to read.
I founded Just Gold, the first management consultancy and creative agency in Australia to be certified as a social enterprise, and I chair Aurum Foundation. Through both I convene the conversations I think the country keeps avoiding: on autism, on multiculturalism, on queer life, privilege, intersectionality and on who actually gets to participate in the economy.
I left home at seventeen and came to Australia. I then spent more than two decades in Greek language media here, across radio, television, newspapers and online, carrying a language and a culture across an ocean. My broadcast career included award winning work at SBS from 2005 to 2016. I also led communications and events for the multicultural portfolio in the Victorian Public Service.
I am a non practising lawyer. I hold a Juris Doctor and an Executive MBA (Distinction) from RMIT, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University and a BA in International Studies from the University of Adelaide.
I am autistic, queer and Greek Australian, the child of Pontian Greek parents. I was diagnosed as autistic six years ago, and the diagnosis did not change who I was. It made the machinery visible: what had felt like personal failure turned out to be a system designed for someone else.
I rarely write about my life. I write from it. The personal matters because it is evidence, not because it is exceptional.
I started Just Gold in 2018. It is a social enterprise. I chair Aurum Foundation, a charity.
I moved to Australia at seventeen. I worked in Greek language media for more than twenty years, including at SBS.
I trained as a lawyer and have an MBA. I am autistic, queer and Greek Australian.

First I was born Autistic, then everything else followed.
Stay Gold.
Four values I try to work by, and the standard I ask to be measured against.
- Generosity.I share time, knowledge and resources freely, in the belief that what we give counts for more than what we accomplish.
- Openness.Staying curious, honest and open to new ideas and to perspectives that are not my own.
- Love.Empathy and genuine compassion guide how I treat people and the choices I make.
- Determination.Resilience and resolve are what turn an idea into something real, and what carry it through the challenges on the way.
Where others see a problem, I see an opportunity for positive social change.
Speaking.
I speak on autism and economic inclusion, social cohesion and multiculturalism, queer politics after visibility, social enterprise and government funding, and what artificial intelligence means for people who have been locked out of institutions.
I host and moderate as well as speak, across the Think series, The Disruptive Rainbow and Autistic Pride Day. You can see how in the Studio.
Media.
My essays are published in full on this site under Writing, and shared on LinkedIn and Substack. I also publish authored audio essays as Kyriakos Gold: Deliberately on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. For interviews and comment, email me.
